Diplomat International - "Pre-Existing Condition" Coverage
Coverage is provided only if the policy is purchased within a certain number of days after the initial trip payment was made. If you book outside of this range, coverage is not provided for any loss due to injury or sickness (a medical condition) of you or a family member if, during a certain number of days preceding and including the coverage effective date, there was medical care, advice, consultation or treatment received for the condition, or if there was any adjustment of medication for the condition.
What am I covered for?
3 years prior to effective date is excluded

Exclusions

For the Medical Expense Benefit, no benefit shall be payable with respect to expenses incurred:

  • For Pre-Existing Conditions, defined as any Injury or Illness which was contracted or which manifested itself, or for which treatment or medication was prescribed 3 years prior to the effective date of this insurance.
